Bird Flu viruses changing

Over the last 7 years, Bird Flu viruses H5N1 and H7N7 changed their biological qualities drastically as a result of mutations and gained the ability not only to cross the host barrier with direct contamination of people (omitting the intermediate host), but also to cause exceptionally severe clinic forms of illnesses, a large number of which are fatal.
At the present time, the virus has become more widespread in nature due to its adaptation to other mammals (cats, dogs, pigs).
